Jase: Kimmi, how is this used with children?

Kimmi: Older children use the gentle spray, while the label gives drop instructions for younger children and infants. A caregiver should administer it and clean the nozzle after every use.

Jase: Does it prevent children getting sick?

Kimmi: No. It’s a saline-and-xylitol nasal product for rinsing and moisturising, not a treatment or protection against infection or allergy.

Important: Ask a health professional before use in an infant or after nasal surgery. Stop for persistent irritation or nosebleeds, and seek advice for breathing trouble, fever, facial pain or ongoing symptoms. Keep away from pets; xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs if swallowed.

Directions

Clear the nasal passageway by having your child gently blow their nose, or use a bulb syringe to remove mucus build-up prior to using Kid's Xlear Saline Nasal Spray with Xylitol.

For older children:

• Insert nozzle into nostril and squeeze bottle to release spray. Remove the bottle from nostrils before allowing the bottle to re-inflate.
• Spray 1-2 times in each nostril.
• Wipe nozzle clean after each use and replace the safety cap.

For younger children and infants:

• Lie child on his or her back.
• Tilt bottle upside down and allow drops to flow into the nostrils.
• Wipe nozzle clean after each use and replace the safety cap.

For best results, use at least twice daily, morning and night. Follow the label and stop if irritation occurs.
