Xlear Sinus Rinse Bottle with 6 Packets

Jase: Kimmi, what comes in this starter kit?

Kimmi: A positive-pressure rinse bottle, six solution packets and instructions. Each packet contains xylitol, sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate.

Jase: Can ordinary tap water go in it?

Kimmi: No. Nasal rinsing must use distilled or sterile water, or water that has been boiled and cooled safely. Unboiled tap water can contain organisms that are unsafe in the nose.

Important: Wash and dry the bottle after every use and do not share it. Stop for pain, persistent bleeding or blocked ears. Ask a health professional before use after nasal surgery or with a completely blocked nose, and seek advice for persistent fever, facial pain or symptoms.

Keep packets away from pets; xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs if swallowed.

Directions

Using your Xlear Positive Pressure Sinus Rinse Bottle is easy, just follow this step-by-step process:

  1. Thoroughly clean your Xlear Sinus Rinse bottle with soap and water or place it into the dishwasher on the top shelf. Be sure to rinse the rinse bottle completely with sterilized or purified water.
  2. Prepare the sinus wash solution by mixing ½ to 1 packet of the Xlear Sinus Care Solution powder into 8 to 10 ounces of purified or sterilized, warm water. Care should be taken to ensure that the water temperature is not too hot to avoid damaging delicate sinus tissues. Mix the solution thoroughly until all of the powder is fully dissolved.
  3. Fill the Xlear Sinus Rinse bottle with your prepared nasal wash. Insert the clear tube into the underside of the nozzle and twist nozzle onto the bottle to form a tight seal.
  4. While standing over the sink or a basin, tilt your head forward and to the side slightly. If you are washing the right sinus cavity, tilt your head to the left – your right nostril should be slightly higher than your left.
  5. Insert the tip of the Xlear Sinus Care Rinse bottle into the upper nostril.
  6. Gently squeeze the bottle, allowing the solution to flow into the nasal passageway. As you squeeze, gradually increase pressure to completely and gently flush the passageway. You should start to see the solution begin draining out of the lower nostril.
  7. Remove the bottle and allow the solution to drain from both sides as needed. Once the bottle is half empty, switch nostrils, and repeat the process.
  8. When finished, gently blow your nose through both nostrils to clean them.
  9. Wash your Xlear Sinus Rinse bottle after use. Disassemble the nozzle and tube to ensure that you can clean them thoroughly. All parts of the Xlear Sinus Rinse bottle and nozzle are dishwasher safe, or you can hand-wash them using warm water and dish soap. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
