Kimmi: What exactly is diatomaceous earth, Jase?
Jase: A mineral powder made from fossilised aquatic organisms. The nutrition panel lists no energy or macronutrients in a 0.4g serving.
Kimmi: Does swallowing it remove toxins, heavy metals, viruses, bacteria, worms or parasites?
Jase: No. It should not be used as a detox, dewormer or treatment for infection.
Only use material explicitly labelled food grade and follow the current package. Directions
Adults: Take 1/6 teaspoon of Diatomaceous Earth powder with a glass of water on empty stomach, once daily or as professionally recommended. Ensure to drink at least 8 glasses of water daily.
Cautions: Seek professional health advice if pregnant, lactating, suffering from a medical condition or taking medication before supplementing. In rare cases, this product may cause Herxheimer reaction, which should disappear after a few days.
