Jase: What does this test actually check?
Kimmi: It checks urine for leukocytes, blood, nitrites and protein—markers that can be associated with a urinary tract infection or other urinary concerns.
Jase: So it tells you for certain?
Kimmi: No. It is a home screening test, not a diagnosis. Symptoms or an unusual result should be discussed with a healthcare professional.
About Prima Urinary Tract Infections Test
This pack contains three urine test strips for qualitative or semi-quantitative screening of leukocytes, blood, nitrites and protein. The manufacturer recommends testing the first urine of the morning.
Urinary symptoms can include frequent urination, burning when urinating, and cloudy or unusually strong-smelling urine. Lower-back pain or fever can require prompt medical assessment. A negative result does not rule out infection or another cause of symptoms.
Manufacturer-stated agreement figures
These figures describe the test's reported performance under study conditions and do not guarantee the accuracy of an individual result.
