This is a traditional herbal liquid, not a treatment for asthma, infection or breathing difficulty. Prompt medical care is needed for blue lips, laboured breathing, unusual sleepiness, poor feeding or dehydration. Persistent cough, fever, wheeze or recurring chest tightness should be assessed.
The formula contains ethanol and liquorice despite being labelled from birth. Liquorice can affect blood pressure and potassium and interact with medicines.
