Jase: How much potassium is in one serving?
Kimmi: One-eighth of a teaspoon provides 365mg. The label allows up to three separate servings daily, which totals 1095mg of supplemental potassium.
Jase: Can anyone use it as a salt substitute?
Kimmi: No. Potassium can become dangerous when kidney function or certain medicines raise blood levels.
For adults only. Do not exceed three servings daily, and always take each with at least 8oz of fluid and food. Get medical advice before use if pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney, heart, adrenal, diabetes or blood-potassium conditions. Check all medicines, especially ACE inhibitors, ARBs, potassium-sparing diuretics, NSAIDs and other products containing potassium. Weakness, tingling, severe nausea or an irregular heartbeat needs urgent medical attention.
Directions
Dose (adults): Take 1/8 teaspoon with food. Take with at least 8 oz. of water or other beverage. Can be taken 1 to 3 times daily in separate servings. Do not exceed 3 servings per day. Store in a cool, dry place after opening.
